According to reports, the Rajasthan High Court recently quashed a rape case filed by a woman against her husband, observing that their marriage had been solemnized voluntarily and that the allegations did not justify continuation of criminal proceedings. The court noted that both parties had entered into the marriage of their own free will, and continuing the case would amount to misuse of the legal process.
